What is the Hillsboro-Deering School Calendar?
Registration is completed online through our School Year Registration Form. Enrollment is first-come, first-served based on available space. Before your child's first day, all required registration forms, emergency information, and health records must be completed.
Before attending Kid Adventures, we require:
Completed registration forms
Current immunization records (or approved exemption documentation)
A current physical examination record, if required
Emergency contact information
Medical and allergy information
Before School: 6:30 AM – 8:30 AM
After School: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Kid Adventures follows the Hillsboro-Deering School District calendar.
Each afternoon includes:
Healthy snack
Outdoor recess or physical activity
Calm Our Minds and Bodies (COBAM)
Hands-on enrichment activities
Homework and academic support
Choice activities before dismissal
Every day is designed to encourage learning, creativity, friendships, and fun!
Yes! Healthy afternoon snacks are provided daily through the Hillsboro-Deering School District Food Service Program.
During camp programs, Kid Adventures provides snacks, and families provide lunch.
Please notify Kid Adventures directly if your child will be absent, leaving school early, attending an after-school club or activity, or has a change in transportation plans.
Because Kid Adventures operates independently from the school district, we do not receive attendance or dismissal updates from the school.
Yes. Anyone picking up your child must:
Be listed as an authorized pick-up person, or
Be approved by a parent or guardian in advance
All authorized pick-up individuals should be prepared to show photo identification.
Our enrichment activities are intentionally scheduled to provide meaningful learning and social experiences. Whenever possible, we encourage families to schedule appointments outside of program hours.
If an early pick-up is necessary, please notify Kid Adventures in advance.
Kid Adventures closes promptly at 6:00 PM.
If you anticipate being late, please contact us as soon as possible. Late pick-up fees apply beginning at 6:00 PM.
Children who develop a fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or symptoms of a communicable illness during the program must be picked up promptly. Children may return once they have been symptom-free for at least 24 hours without fever-reducing medication or as directed by their healthcare provider.
Yes, with the proper documentation.
Prescription and non-prescription medications require parent authorization, appropriate licensing forms, and must be provided in their original container.
Staff provide first aid, complete an accident report, and notify families according to the nature of the injury. Serious injuries are reported immediately, and emergency medical services are contacted when necessary.
Yes. Kid Adventures staff meet New Hampshire licensing requirements and participate in ongoing professional development. Staff members are trained in child supervision, health and safety practices, behavior guidance, emergency procedures, and creating a positive, supportive learning environment.
Kid Adventures follows the Hillsboro-Deering School District's weather-related closures. If school is canceled, dismissed early, or after-school activities are canceled, Kid Adventures will also be closed.

Yes! Outdoor play is an important part of our program whenever weather conditions are safe. Please send your child dressed appropriately for the season.
Kid Adventures is an enrichment-based program that goes beyond traditional childcare. Our intentionally planned activities encourage creativity, critical thinking, social-emotional growth, physical activity, and academic enrichment through hands-on learning experiences.
We believe children learn best when they are actively engaged, given opportunities to make choices, and supported by caring adults in a safe and welcoming environment.
Yes. Students have dedicated time each afternoon for homework assistance and quiet academic support. While we encourage students to complete assignments, our goal is to provide guidance, encouragement, and a positive learning environment rather than guarantee all homework is finished.
Yes! Financial assistance may be available through the New Hampshire DHHS Child Care Scholarship Program for eligible families. Please contact the Director for more information about scholarship opportunities.
We communicate regularly through Brightwheel, email, and our website. Families are encouraged to keep contact information up to date so they never miss important announcements.
Absolutely! We welcome family volunteers, guest presenters, and community members who would like to share a hobby, career, or special talent with our students. Please contact the Director to learn about volunteer opportunities.
As a nonprofit organization, Kid Adventures appreciates support through volunteering, fundraising, sponsorships, donations, and service on our Board of Directors. Community involvement helps us expand enrichment opportunities for the children and families we serve.
